Zrobienie wykroju zajęło dosłownie kilka minut, kolejnych kilka wycięcie elementów i do dzieła. Continue reading

Miała być zasłonka, a jest spódnica

Today I want to show you my first skirt I made in march this year.

In a short period of time after receiving a sewing machine I went for shopping to IKEA. I was in need of curtain for a child’s room. I thought that already having the sewing machine I can sew it by myself, so I bought the fabric. When a moment of sewing had come I acknowledged that a curtain can wait and I need to do something more complex. Something that can give me satisfaction. I have chosen a skirt.

It took me a lot of time to pin a box pleat (that time I didn’t know it’s name:)). I wanted this skirt to be made of single piece of fabric, so I had to pin it to be in my size and for the kick pleats to be arranged evenly and there was no need to cut the fabric. After long struggles I managed to succeed.

Fanny pack

Today I would like to show to you how to sew a fanny pack/waist bag. Contarary to appearances it is not very hard. To execute it you will need: about 50x40cm (20x16inches) of fabric, the same amount of heat activated adhesive interfacing, zip, carrier tape, side release (more…)

Summer dress in sailor patterns

I got hold of an idea of a summer dress. It is true that I do not wear them too often, but I like to have them (I dont have such one yet 😉 ). The beach bag was supposed to araise from this fabric, but what the heck.

I have never sewn in a patchwork way, and I thought it was the about time to try it. Using this method I’ve sewn bottom of my dress, and the top is made in a very simple way, namely from the recycled t-shirt.

Welcome to my blog!

I took my first steps with the machine when I was at primary school. I remember it was my mom’s old “Łucznik” (polish company producing sewing machines- eng. Archer) with foot drive. It was in green color and the cupboard in which you could hide the machine after work was used as a table. I used to be very intrigued by this strange device before I had sat and got into sewing in front of this bizzare machine for the first time.
